Property Description

The High Beam Ranch is a 287 acre high fenced property located 5 miles from Pettus and about 20 minutes from both Kenedy and Beeville. The current owner set out to build a place centered around whitetail, removing nearly all of the native deer and restocking the ranch with a breeder buck and twenty bred does from proven bloodlines, released through a soft release pen that still sits on the property. Senderos and food plots were carved out of the South Texas brush to create excellent hunting habitat, a 25 acre field was planted for dove, and six rifle blinds were set up along with corn and protein feeders. Water comes from four ponds spread across the ranch, three of which can be supplemented by the water well. For staying on the property, there is a container home bunkhouse and RV hookups, and a 1,300 sq ft, 2 bedroom house was added this year that is currently being renovated. The groundwork is in place to start hunting right away, with plenty of room left for the next owner to build on what has been started. The owner may also be willing to negotiate the addition of more whitetail or exotic game with the sale, allowing the next owner to further expand the wildlife program.
